Sparkill Dominican Honored in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO. -April 23, 2007-- Sister Paulette Patritti, O.P. received the prestigious Clare of Assisi, Spiritual Guide Award from the Archdiocese of Saint Louis Human Rights Office.  Her award is given to the person who “has strong faith that has been learned through the days and years of opening her heart and hands to God.  She guides others in prayer and accompanies others along their faith journeys.”   For the past ten years, the Archdiocesan Committee on Women in the Church has honored nominees in twelve different categories whose outstanding apostolic service is worthy of recognition.

Archbishop Raymond Burke conferred the awards at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis on Saturday, March 3 during a prayer service honoring all the award recipients as well as all who were nominated.

Sister Paulette is the Executive Director of the Marianist Retreat and Conference Center in Eureka, Missouri just outside of Saint Louis and continues to serve as spiritual director and retreat presenter.
