Two
Dominicans Ordained in St. Albert Province
ST. LOUIS, MO June 12, 2006 -- Mother's Day took on a special significance
for the Province of St. Albert the Great as two of their members were
ordained to the priesthood. Frs. Dominic Holtz, OP (right) and Cedrik
Starbuck, OP (left) became the newest priests in the Order of Preachers
for the Central Province.
The Most Reverend, Thomas C. Kelly, Archbishop of Louisville, Kentucky,
himself a Dominican, served as the ordaining prelate. The festive celebration
full of significant rituals and harmonious singing was held at the Cathedral
Basilica in St. Louis, Missouri. After the ceremony, a reception followed
at Aquinas Institute of Theology.
Congratulations to our brothers, may your preaching be powerful and
at the service of God's people.
Since
the time of St Dominic, more than 800 years ago, Dominicans have been
