Dominican Sisters of Peace Celebrate Foundation --
Begin First Chapter of Affairs

Founding EventST. LOUIS, MO - April 14, 2009--- Surrounded by supportive sisters, friars, associates and friends, the newly founded Dominican Sisters of Peace gathered at the Marriott Hotel here to formally ritualize their existence as a new foundation of the Dominican Order. The Gathering was followed by the first General Chapter and election for the new congregation.

New Leaders Elected for New Foundation

Summit of the AmericasDominican Justice promoters in Latin America are urging US Dominicans to help send a message to President Obama during the upcoming Summit of the Americas, to be held April 17-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.
