Positions available with RENEW International

RENEW International is a not-for-profit Roman Catholic organization that fosters spiritual renewal, evangelization, and the transformation of the world through parish-based small Christian communities. For more than 30 years, we have worked with parishes throughout the world by helping people courageously live out their faith.

Presently, we have the following career opportunities available at our Plainfield, New Jersey, offices: Presenter and Administrative Assistant.

Presenter

Job Overview

The responsibilities of a team member are to conduct training workshops according to established guidelines, present to bishops, priests and lay people at parish and diocesan levels on the methods of implementing and managing various RENEW faith building processes and provide pastoring and consultation to parish and diocesan representatives in an effort to establish long term relationships.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Participating in the comprehensive planning, evaluation, and implementation of programs and services that further RENEW’s mission.
  • Providing input and assisting in preparing RENEW services, including: presentations, materials, prayer services, research materials, parish/diocesan profiles, etc.
  • Organizing, facilitating, and implementing training sessions at parish and diocesan sites.
  • Traveling to sites to conduct workshops and seminars according to established guidelines. Instructing and educating participants with respect to RENEW faith-building processes and programs, and subsequently providing mechanisms for participants to evaluate RENEW programs.
  • Acting as primary contact to assigned parishes and dioceses; providing on-going pastoring consultation as required.
  • Arranging and overseeing delivery of services and materials.
  • Assuring timely and professional delivery of RENEW services, support, and assistance to assigned parishes and dioceses.
  • Communicating regularly with appropriate RENEW staff on diocesan/parish efforts.
  • Preparing and submitting follow-up reports to the Director of Pastoral Services.
  • Experience with media (including social media).
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be a practicing Roman Catholic with a solid knowledge and understanding of Catholic theology and faith.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under general supervision to achieve assigned objectives within established timelines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients while enthusiastically delivering verbal presentations.
  • Ability to write reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Ability to travel extensively by both road and air. This position may require weekend travel, working evenings and/or on weekends.
  • Possess strong computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and experience with databases.
  • Must be fluent in English – oral and written. (Spanish a plus)
  • Master’s degree in theology or related field required.

Administrative Assistant

Job Overview

This team member’s main responsibility will be to provide assistance and support to the Director of Pastoral Services and members of the team on various high profile initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain records, schedules and database
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings including those on line
  • Type, format, and proof read project documents and business correspondence
  • Ensure project deliverables and timetables
  • Answer calls from participants all over the country

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in an administrative support role.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, written and customer service skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changes in project assignments
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Publisher, Outlook, In-Design and experience with databases. Experience with Quark a plus.
  • Outstanding time management skills with proven track record for meeting deadlines while working independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to multi-task a must.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a must.
