Center Wins Facility of the Year Award
ST.
CATHARINE, KY –September 22, 2008 -- Sansbury Care
Center, located on the grounds of the Dominicans of St. Catharine
Motherhouse, was recently selected as the Central District Facility
of the Year by the Kentucky Association of Heath Care Facilities.
“This is validation of the facility being a quality facility
in the state and validation of everyone’s hard work,” said
Darlene Herald, administrator. “More important than the physical
appearances of our facilities, we are interested in the internal
attitudes of all who live and work here. We are striving towards
a person-centered care culture where our residents’ needs,
choices and quality of care are paramount.”
The judges’ decision was based 25 percent on the written
application, 25 percent on customer service evaluations and 50
percent on an on-site visit. Sansbury Care Center will compete
against the other four district winners in Kentucky for the State
Facility of the Year. The winner will be announced Nov. 13, 2008.
Founded in 1961, Sanbury Care Center is a 61-bed licensed skilled
and personal-care facility providing long-term quality care for
