Laity Chapter Receives New Members
KANSAS CITY, MO -- On March 18,
2007, the St. Martin de Porres Inquirer’s Group
of Kansas City, Missouri received three new members
into candidacy. The monthly meeting began with the
recitation of the Rosary, followed by a study discussion
of “Blessed Are the Meek” from Living
the Beatitudes Today by Bill Dodds & Michael
J. Dodds, O.P., as well as a discussion on the background
of the Liturgy of the Hours.
Following study and the business meeting, the group retreated
to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel for Vespers and the Rite
of Admission. John Heuretz, Tom Bogdon, and Joseph Bradley
were all admitted by Moderator Tom Smith, O.P., with
Provinicial Promoter Fr. Jim Motl, O.P. present to witness
the event on behalf of the Order.
The St. Martin de Porress Inquirer’s Group is
comprised of two fully professed members, one temporary
professed member, four candidates, and one inquirer.
Meetings are held the third Sunday of each month at
St. Agnes Parish in Fairway, Kansas.
