Kansas City Laity Chapter Receives New Members

KANSAS CITY, MO -- On March 18, 2007, the St. Martin de Porres Inquirer’s Group of Kansas City, Missouri received three new members into candidacy. The monthly meeting began with the recitation of the Rosary, followed by a study discussion of “Blessed Are the Meek” from Living the Beatitudes Today by Bill Dodds & Michael J. Dodds, O.P., as well as a discussion on the background of the Liturgy of the Hours.

Following study and the business meeting, the group retreated to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel for Vespers and the Rite of Admission. John Heuretz, Tom Bogdon, and Joseph Bradley were all admitted by Moderator Tom Smith, O.P., with Provinicial Promoter Fr. Jim Motl, O.P. present to witness the event on behalf of the Order.

The St. Martin de Porress Inquirer’s Group is comprised of two fully professed members, one temporary professed member, four candidates, and one inquirer. Meetings are held the third Sunday of each month at St. Agnes Parish in Fairway, Kansas.
