Recipient: National Coalition for Church Vocations (NCCV) Native American Outreach Project

Native Americans are often forgotten in Catholic Church vocation resource development. The Las Casas grant allowed NCCV to develop a Native American vocation prayer card in collaboration with Native Americans. The new resource honors the Catholic tradition of Native Americans. It is based on Psalm 139:24 “Lead me in the ancient paths.” Sister Deborah Bomyea, OP (Sinsinawa / Mohawk) authored the prayer and Gus Antone (Tohonno O’odham) is the artist.
