at Weber Center to report on their progress on the Dominican
Call to Justice and to plan new strategies to combat violence and
poverty as well as to promote a compassionate, comprehensive immigration
policy. Witnessing the Truth of Gaza BLAUVELT,
NY – July 10, 2009 -- Sister Ceil Lavan, OP (Blauvelt) was part
of a 13-member delegation that traveled to the Gaza Strip. Ten
days and many experiences later, she and the other members of the delegation
sponsored by CodePink:
Women for Peace, have newfound compassion and awareness

a recently published book Preaching Justice: Dominican Contributions
to Social Ethics in the 20th Century. A second volume is planned
to explore the contributions women Dominicans have made to the cause
of justice and includes: people or projects that address structural
injustice, structural sin, and the promotion of human rights; ideas
and theories in social ethics. READ
