in Nashville held a special Mass June 24 for major donors to the $45

Dominican Nuns Participate in Preached Retreat
with Master of the Order
MI July 10, 2006-- Dominican nuns from monasteries around the US gathered
at Weber Center June 29 for the opening of their preached retreat. This
year marks the 800th anniversary of the founding of the monastery in
Prouilhe, France, by St. Dominic. READ
Mission San Jose Dominicans Protest Human Trafficking
SAN JOSE, CA July 10, 2006 -- The Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose,
with members in the United States, Germany, and Mexico, have issued
a corporate stance against human trafficking. The Sisters have pledged
to work for the eradication of the growing epidemic of international
trafficking of women, children, and men.

Since the time of St Dominic, more than 800 years ago, Dominicans have been
living and sharing the message of the Gospel. Today thousands of sisters,
nuns, priests, brothers, associates, and laity serve in more than 100 countries
around the globe.
