Meet the Director: Sister Gina Fleming, OP

Gina is the Co-director of the National College Preaching Conference and the Promoter of Youth for the Dominican Sisters of Amityville, NY.

As the Promoter of Youth for her congregation her job is to create and direct programs which introduce our young people to the Dominican charism of preaching.

Gina and her team run preaching workshops for young people ages 13-18, in the Brooklyn and Rockville Centre Diocese. During these weekend workshops the students are introduced to the many ways that Dominicans preach the word of God. The goal of the workshops is to encourage these young people to fulfill their own baptismal call to “Preach the Word of God, in all things you do.”

Gina is has also been involved with the National Dominican High School Preaching Conference since its beginning seven years ago and is a true advocate of passing on the Dominican charism of preaching to our young people
