Stepping Forward Together
DLC, Federation collaborate to form new entity

With the theme of “Stepping Forward Together,” the leader and member representatives of the Federation of Dominican Sisters USA had their annual gathering at the Felician Motherhouse in Chicago, March 19-21, 2010. Mary Ellen Green, OP (Sinsinawa) presented some “golden threaded” memories of the history of the Federation.

With this as their springboard, the Federation Representatives, representing 17 congregations, gave affirmation to moving forward into a new entity in conjunction with the Dominican Leadership Conference. Memories were cherished by laughter, silence, and ritual. To the future they commend this collaborative effort of Dominican Sisters believing that Members and Leaders without distinction will together forward our dreams with care.

More will be forthcoming as this new collaboration develops.
