If you have ever been a guest at Sinsinawa Mound for a meal, now is your chance to bring home some of the recipes made famous by Sister Flannan McGuane, OP, in the Sinsinawa kitchen and bakery. A new cookbook, “Food for All Seasons,” has been published and will be for sale for $12 beginning July 7 at the Sinsinawa Book & Gift Gallery or online at www.sinsinawa.org.

A book signing will be held with Sister Flannan, to whom the book is dedicated, Wednesday, July 7, 3-5:30 p.m. in the Mound foyer. All are welcome to attend, especially those who worked with Sister Flannan in the kitchen and bakery.

The cookbook, with over 400 recipes, has contributions from Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters, lay staff and others. Every level of cook will be satisfied as recipes range from simple to sophisticated.

Sister Flannan worked tirelessly in the kitchen and bakery at Sinsinawa Mound for over 40 years, impressing sisters and guests alike with her home-style cooking, oven-fresh baking, and spirit of giving. Sister Flannan said, “It was hard work, but I enjoyed all of it.”
