New editor at Dominican Life | USA

Susan and Anne at the convent in Brookhaven. Special thanks to the sisters there for their hospitality.

Anne Lythgoe, OP, former editor of DomLife.org, began her term as president of the Sisters of St Catherine de Ricci in January. The Dominican Leadership Conference (DLC) has hired Susan Oxley to serve as editor of DomLife.org. Susan met with Anne in late February in Philadelphia for an intense six-hour course on DomLife 101.

Susan's first impression of the DomLife.org web site occurred at the 2007 conference of the National Communicators Network of Women Religious (NCNWR) in Rapid City, South Dakota. Sister Anne, then the communications coordinator for the DLC and DomLife.org editor, presented a Best Practice on the DomLife.org web site.

"I remember thinking this was a huge responsibility, and was impressed by what a great job Anne was doing. Her passion for the work was evident in her presentation," said Susan. "I am excited about and honored by the opportunity to continue this ministry."

For the past five years, Susan has been the coordinator for NCNWR (www.ncnwr.org), a professional organization of communicators for congregations of women religious. Prior to that, she was communications director for the School Sisters of St Francis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She lives and works out of her home office in Burlington, Wisconsin.

"I feel very confident in Susan's professionalism and real passion for communications," said Sister Anne. "She will be an excellent editor for DomLife.org. I could not have asked for a more able successor. I hope everyone continues to read and enjoy this wonderful web site and support the work of the DLC in it."
